Tell us, what is ArtHome.London all about?
ArtHome.London is an art subscription service that lets you enjoy contemporary fine art right in your home for just £29 per month. With ArtHome.London you can change art as often as you like, creating a unique experience for you and your family and friends.
Which problem does it solve?
Buying art could be a very frustrating and expensive experience. As a result, we tolerate empty walls and standard posters in our homes. At the same time, thousands of emerging artists are creating amazing art every day, but struggling to promote it. We decided to find the way where all of us can enjoy art in our homes without spending a lot of money and time. With ArtHome.London you can discover different artists right in your home for just £1 per day.
Who is your target audience?
I think young professionals are our target audience – people who have grown up from college posters and want to have something unique and original adoring their homes, but probably not ready to purchase an art peace yet. Also, ArtHome.London is perfect for people who are renting their homes but tired of empty walls or boring “landlord” posters.
How disruptive is your business? What do you do different from traditional/other solutions?
We are the only art subscription service in the UK. We don’t expect our subscribers to buy art form us – we believe that it is super exciting to be able to change art as often as you like.
How do you make money: what is your company’s business model and how does it work?
We are a subscription model, so it is very straight forward – we charge our subscribers £1 per day. We generously share our revenue with our artists.
Which channels do you use to advertise?
ArtHome.London is affordable luxury lifestyle concept and I belive in partnering with brands who share the similar values is the best way to reach to your customers.
What are the most useful skills to make your business successful?
I would say being able to experiment often and make correct judgments is vital to any new venture. Basing everything on your gut feeling is way to risky.
What are the top trends you see happening right now?
No one managed to fully disrupt the arts industry yet, so there are a lot of things going on. There are no problems with the supply part, but creating the demand is challenging.
What advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Try to learn from an entrepreneur with experience before starting something on your own.
